At the edge of the known world, the old maps warn, "Go no farther.  Here be dragons."

The old maps are right.

Taming the Frontierlands is a campaign site based on the Third Edition Dungeons and Dragons game published by Wizards of the Coast.  This site attempts to comply with the terms and conditions of the Open Gaming License, as maintained by the Open Gaming Foundation.

If you're a new visitor to the Frontierlands, you may wish to start with D'loris' first and second letters home, Telosch's letter to Licia, and Arden's Prayer Book -- all firsthand accounts written by players from the perspectives of their characters.  Next, browse Life on the Frontier and the Campaign Notes to get a feel for the setting.  If you're a return visitor, scroll down to see what's new.

SPOILER ALERT!  Although the Frontierlands is a "homebrew" campaign world, it draws heavily on many sources.  These campaign notes are intended for players in the Frontierlands Campaign, and may contain information from published adventures (especially Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, and various products from Necromancer Games, Wizards of the Coast, Dungeon Magazine, Fiery Dragon, Malhavoc Press, Penumbra, Wyvern's Claw, and Sword & Sorcery Studios).  You've been warned.
