Dead Doomdreamers do tells tales...

Wherein on the eve of impending battle, a fallen foe is interrogated regarding the return of Tharizdun, the Orb of Oblivion, the Elemental Power Gems, the elemental nodes, the intentions of The Second, and the means to close the nodes.

Compelled by magic, the corpse replies to each query.  It then speaks an unbidden rambling adoration of the Elder Elemental Eye, that hints at the connection between Elemental Evil and long-forgotten powers of darkness.

"The Greater Temple shall be rededicated to the True Master.
The Champion shall bring the princes to the Inner Chamber.
The Horn of Darkness shall open the channel.
Infused with the energy of a thousand suns, The Master shall burst forth."

"Once the Nimbus of Darkness is formed betwixt the ovoid altars, the Orb shall channel the energy of the princes to Great Tharizdun.  Until then, Maliskra guards the Orb."

"Some gems are set in the Orb of Oblivion.  Some are lost in the nodes.  But they also shall be found.  Oh, yes.  They shall."

"With Air called to ascendancy, The Champion shall at first be weary.  He will rest in the nodes, gathering his strength for the coming trials.  Yan-C-Bin, weakened by her travails, will grow stronger by the hour."

"The Second seeks to open the nodes.  With four Princes united, success is certain.  If foiled, she shall call to The Master with what strength she has.  From dawn until dusk, the faithful shall prepare the Inner Chamber and ready themselves for that which is to come.  The sun shall set that night, and, thenceforth, it shall rise no more."
